489. After the rain
It was rainy today. At our evening walk, it suddenly cleared up.
A crescent in the clear sky.

488. Co-existence
As hiyo always occupy the feed table here, there is not much time for mejiro to feed.
So, I made another one using an empty jar for mejiro, and suspended it from the feeder.

So far, as expected, hiyo only look down the new one. Because of no perching point, they give up on trying to do further. It looks the co-existence can be achieved.
487. Tuji-kiri

Tuji-kiri (crossroad cut), a local custom, were replaced with the new ones at the end of last month.
This is a straw snake, placed at the corner of a path or a street leading to a village or a town, and said to get rid of the inauspicious.
Now, plague deities shouldering a large bag full of virus look roaming around. Let's ask the gurdians to drive away them too.
486. Hiyo-dori
It is rainy this morning.
Not only mejiro, this person also comes.
Driving away a mejiro, earlier visitor, it feeds as if there was nothing special.

485. Mejiro
A mejiro came here from the morning today too. The photo is through the window pane and net screen, and somewhat blurred.
Feeding wild birds is controversial, but feeding only in the dead of winter could be OK.

Visited a nearby shrine to return new year's sacred straw festoon and associated pine twigs, and last year's amulet, and to get a new year's amulet.
The sky above the shrine was gorgeous, and took a shot.

Leaving home at the same time as usual, and passing the same square as usual, we face the same scene today as well.
